Finding a New Home
Finding a new home can be easy, it may not be easy as counting 1
to 3 but as long as you know your budget and you have chosen a place
then everything else will follow. The first thing you have to do is to
make a list of all the attributes you require in a home. Try to answer
these questions:
- Do I want a specific style?
- Do I want used or new?
- Do I want a multiple storey or just single?
- How many bedrooms, and what other space do I require?
- Do I want to have a separate dining room, or a wide living area?
- Do I want a big or just a small garden?
- Do I want a full kitchen or just a space to prepare basic meals?
- Do I want a swimming pool?
- Do I require more off-street parking spaces?
- Do I want to have more storage spaces?
- Would I rather live in a unit or in a house?
- Do I want a property to which I can add value or just a space I
can stay with.
After answering all these questions I'm sure you still have more things
to add. It is also important to think about the resale value to make
sure there will be strong demand for the property you choose if you
decide to sell it someday.

If you have a big budget and limited time, you may decide to look for a
buyer agent to help you out. After all, it is you who will decide if you
like the place or not. However, you should be very careful in choosing
an agent. You might want to check if the agent is a genuine buyer's
agent. It is also wise to choose one who is willing to give you an
initial consultation without charge.
However, since most of us doesn't have big budgets, we'll just end up
negotiating our home purchase all by ourselves. Some people might
consider buying an apartment or townhouse "off the plan" this means they
are buying something which has not been completed yet. It's too risky to
spend your money into something that you haven't seen yet.
There are plenty of ways to find a new home. You may try to check the
'Property for sale' section of your local newspaper or if you have
access to the internet you can probably get more information on the
specific property and negotiate you way around.
