Narrowing the Choices
If you already know how much you can afford to spend, then it's time to
choose your place. Others find it terrific when they come to realise
that the place they wanted suits their budget. But many of us preferred
to choose from the range of areas and suburbs provided that we can find
a place that will suit our requirements. After all we are happy to call
it a home.

There are few ways to narrow your choices. First is you make a list of
what's important to you in choosing where to live. You might want to
answer some questions such as:
- Do I have to live near family or a friend?
- Should I choose a home close to work?
- What facilities do I require?
- Can I drive to work or do I need good public transport
facilities?
Try to do some research about the place and list the factors that are
important to you and your budget. Stroll around and get a real feel in
the area. If the place of your choice is far from work try to negotiate
a trip to and from your workplace to see if it works for you. Never
simply believe in real estate's advertisements, they are paid by the
vendors to put the best gloss on any property they are selling.
Probably you might want to live near a city for a number of reasons, but
to afford this you might end up getting a small place. But if this works
for you, go ahead and grab that offer. After all you will be living in a
location that you always wanted.
Preferably you might eliminate some areas and be left with a short list
which you can concentrate with. Remember it's always best to decide if
you have many choices. Unless you have unlimited funds - but not many of
us have - choosing where to live is always going to be a trade off. Just
take your time to decide and take some advise from trusted family and
friends, especially those who have gone through the same process
themselves.
